We are excited that in the midst of recent challenges, our incredible Departmental Leaders are reformatting our weekly ministry for you. Currently, the COVID-19 virus will limit our ability to gather in our traditional settings at church for the foreseeable future, but that will not stop us from teaching the Word of God and staying connected! We are so blessed to have committed leaders who model servant leadership and are willing to ‘shift’ to a new strategy of teaching, fellowshipping and ministering to you. Each department has a unique way to reach you, don't miss out!!
Our Preschool Sunday School teachers will be sending out personalized cards to all preschoolers on their Sunday School rolls. The Preschool Ministry team will be mailing out weekly Bible lessons, "one conversation" pages, and related Bible sheets to color.
With the usage of a Bedtime Devotions with Jesus Bible, in addition to a bag of goodies that will be provided by the church there will be many fun activities provided to you and your family. Videos for preschoolers will stream once weekly and will offer opportunities to respond back in a very special way!
The physical building may be closed, but kids U is up and running digitally! Your student ministry team is diligently working to pray over and reach out to every single student we have information on - that we may pray with and encourage them through these unique times. A simple way for students to stay involved is to take part in the 40 Day Challenge. We are reading through the Gospel of John - a chapter a day, twice. We have a Zoom meeting everyday at 3:30 pm to discuss the days readings! Make sure you stay tuned to our social media accounts! We will be streaming from the student instagram accounts a couple times a week in an experience we are calling “Refined.”
Foundation College Ministry will still be seeking to help students grow in their relationship with Jesus or investigate a relationship with Jesus during this quarantine season. The best avenues to find out what’s going on in our ministry with events and bible studies is to follow our Instagram page @fbct_foundation, or find our new podcast where we’ll be uploading content weekly. You can find our podcast at this website: https://foundationcollege.buzzsprout.com/
Crossroads continues to meet as a class, just online! Our plan is to meet through Zoom, a service available online, which allows not only for one person to talk, but everyone! We teachers are keeping connected through phone calls, emails/texts and checking up on everyone. For any changes or updates in general, we use our Crossroads Facebook page as the hub of information.
Debbie Schreve and Rochelle Schroeder are hosting a Facebook live study on Thursday evenings from 7-7:30pm. Join us on our ‘FBC Texarkana Women’s Ministry’ page as we talk about anxiety and the power of prayer. We will meet weekly until further notice.
TRY THIS OUTREACH PROJECT AS A FAMILY!
A great opportunity for you and your families to serve even with group restrictions is to make food bags for Mission Texarkana! Mission Texarkana is a non-profit organization that ministers to the residents of Texarkana by providing daily meals, food pantry items, vocational assistance, and most importantly the gospel message. Fill a gallon size bag with non-perishable items such as the listed items in the link below. You can fill the bags as a family or buy the items in bulk for assembly later. These items can be dropped off at the Atrium entrance anytime Monday - Thursday during the hours of 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
