Families First Ministry

We are excited that in the midst of recent challenges, our incredible Departmental Leaders are reformatting our weekly ministry for you. Currently, the COVID-19 virus will limit our ability to gather in our traditional settings at church for the foreseeable future, but that will not stop us from teaching the Word of God and connecting through fun summer activities!

PRESCHOOL

We are excited to announce that worship childcare will begin for two year old’s – completed Kindergarten on June 21st. You will need to register online under the Ministries list and choose the preschool life stage tab, then look for Sunday Worship Registration.

We have had a great time seeing our friends at our various drive thru events - Bug Boxes and Sailing into Summer. We have several more of these fun events upcoming, such as July 2nd is our Glow in the Dark Drive-Through celebration.

CHILDREN

Summer 2020 is going to require kids to use the examples of some Bible Superheroes and "GET BIG" in their faith!!! Kids can reserve the complete "GET BIG" package which includes a devotion book and all necessary supplies, even BALLOONS!!! Kid Evangelist and Balloon artist, Dan Bellamy, will instruct kids on how to create and use balloons to share their faith in Christ with other kids!  Each lesson is supported in a daily Facebook LIVE presentation.  Reserve your "GET BIG" kit by texting to 903-293-3780.

"GET BIG" kit package pick up is Thursday, June 18th, from 6:00-8:00pm at the church atrium entrance.  LIVE daily devotions begin on Monday, June 22nd, at 10:00am.

STUDENT MINISTRY

All student events this summer will be outdoors and have limited space to allow us to responsibly provide meaningful activities to our students in safe ways.  We do have three big events planned that can handle up to 100 students each, but on everything else we are targeting specific age groups and thus will be smaller.  We also have a summer long discipleship program that will meet weekly, but does have expectations and a requirement of commitment.  There is a place for your student this summer!

FBC PARTNERS WITH HARVEST TEXARKANA FOR FOOD DRIVE

Our FBC Operation Jerusalem is ministering in a unique way by joining with Harvest Texarkana to help alleviate the hunger problem in the Texarkana area.  On June 24th, from 8 a.m. till 12:00 noon, we will be giving away 1000 boxes of groceries and fresh produce to those needing assistance with feeding their family.  We need fifty volunteers to help load the boxes into the cars which will be in a drive through set-up.  Harvest Texarkana was able to purchase and pack these groceries through a gift from FBC Operation Jerusalem.  If you can help that morning, please call Mike Beck at the church to sign up at 903.831.6000.
