Senior Adults

Our Senior Adult Ministry is based on the Scripture "He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth much fruit" (Psalm 1:3). Our senior adults contribute much to the life of our church and community, and our Senior Adult Ministry offers a variety of avenues of ministry and service. We also offer special times of study, fellowship, travel and continuing education. Our ministry includes very active senior adults all the way to those who are now homebound. Senior adults are valued at First Baptist Church, as are their wisdom and experience.

SENIOR ADULT TRIPS
Our senior adults are active! We always offer a variety of trips ranging from one-day adventures to more extensive trips all over the world. Be watching the website and Generations for upcoming travel opportunities.
Next trip- The Ark & Creation Museum, Northern Kentucky, Sept. 23-26, 2024 (pick up brochure in Mike's office)

SENIOR ADULT GET TOGETHER
Every other month, on Monday nights at 6pm, our Seniors get together for a great potluck meal and an entertaining program! We enjoy great music groups, and lots of other encouraging programs that make Monday nights at FBC the place to be! You bring a side dish or a dessert and the church provides the main course!  Come join us!

HOMEBOUND MINISTRY
There are many of our church members and friends who are no longer able to get out of their home or retirement facility. Our extensive Homebound Ministry extends the love of Jesus to these individuals by visiting our homebound church family. Currently, our Homebound Ministry is one of the largest in the Southern Baptist Convention! Including a host of volunteers. For more information, call the Church Office at 903-831-6000, ext. 121.

WIDOW'S WALK
A ministry to widows, by widows. This group meets for encouragement and support in living without your spouse.
